If we are charged with a failure of any part of our duty, and these charges are entertained by the Honble Department, we beg to be furnished with a copy of the charges, the name of our accused, and be permitted to answer by evidence.

If we cannot acquit ourselves, then we shall submit to the damages that justice demands at our hands.

And I now protest against any of the monies due upon that contract being paid to Joseph Sinclair for any services as Removing Agent, after his return to Fort Wayne in December last from the removal of the Miamies.
