The lowest rate at which an emigration has ever been made was 55$ a head - and that was by by me in 1840. Other contracts the same year were let at 65$ pr head. They ought to be removed by land, it is there natural way of traveling and and the only way in which they can have their health, although more expensive than by water.
I would esteem it a favor to receive as early a reply as possible, as I shall be governed by your aestimations and am extremely anxious to be off as soon as I can for the west.
