I Saml D Lucas Clerk of the county court [illeg] and for the county aforesaid do hereby certify that James C. Bean Esqr whose name appears to the foregoing certificate is and was at the date of said certificate and still is an acting justice of the peace [illeg] and for same county duly commissioned and qualified according to law and that full faith and credit is due to all his official acts and that his signature hereto subscribed is genuine.

In testimony whereof I here unto set my hand and office the seal of said court at office in Independence.

This 11th Day of November A.D. 1846
