Sir,
the emigrating Miamies left the mouth of Kansas River on Monday the 2<sup>d</sup> [], and they have been arriving here during yesterday & today, a portion of them rode their poneys, and they [ae-idue] with the baggage was brought through by the [contractor] in [waggens].

[We] had one more death on the 3<sup>d</sup>. ( a boy of about 16) [he] had been a long time sick and was improving in health [] by [imprudence] he brought about a [], this [] in all, seven deaths that have occurred during the emigration.
