It being absolutely necessary that? I should have some person that I could [illegable] upon to oversee the contractor and nce certain that that they faithfully fuefilled? this contract as for a? feeding? the indians in [illegable] and who would make a statement under oath of the Miami? in which the Insians had been fed and treated? I have appointed Willian B. White who has gone in with the boats? with directions from me to visit each boat? frequently and as certain whether all their wants are [illegable] in? [illegable].
