made to get the Indians off without so doing- and in that case it will be used in the most prudent manner, and under circumstances that will fully justify it.
I have appointed James Ormiston Physician to the Miami emigration, with the consent of the contractors; and he has accepted the appointment.
I leave in the morning for the purpose of attending the council to be held. I cannot now say when it shall be here again, but I will keep you advised of every movement we make with the results.
