Office of Miami & Eel River sub agency

Fort Wayne 25 May 1846

Sir, Enclosed herewith pelase find a list of the Miamies who are expected to emigrate. As soon as I can possibly do so I shall give you the name and age of each individual.

I have had the honour to receive your two letters of the 14th, one acknowledging the receipt of my monthly returns, the other accompanying a Proclamation of the President of the United States. I shall strictly observe your directions in relation to my intercourse with the Miamis. The contractor for the emigration of the Miamies is now collecting them at a point about 10 miles North of Peru, Inda and expects to be able to start some time during next month.
