I am gratified to know that there is [illegible] prospect of [illegible] being able to have a peaceable & satisfactory removal of the Miami Indians this season and with a [illegible] [illegible] to [illegible] and accelerate the [illegible] object, as well as to [illegible] myself from [illegible] [illegible] [illegible]. I have trasnfered to Major Edsell  + [illegible] Coquillard [illegible] of my Contract, the other [illegible] kind & look privately transferred to [illegible] Ewing. These men are all known as [illegible] & efficient [illegible] and influential [illegible] in affording me pleasure now today that I have no [illegible] of the [illegible] [illegible] of the Emigration with a little delay as can be expected [illegible] therefor that [illegible] will be satisfied with their [illegible] arrangements. I [illegible] to say [illegible] that one will be able [illegible] in our execution  to accomplish the removal in [illegible] manner as will meet the approbation of the Department [illegible], [illegible] you will be pleased to [illegible] the [illegible] [illegible] of Indian Affairs delay [illegible] of all I am [illegible] on the removal Contractor.

Ewing. These men are all known as energetic & efficient responsible and influential [illeg] it affords me pleasure now to say that I have no doubt of the complete success of the Emigration with as little delay as can be expected.

Hoping you will be pleased to keep the Hon Commr of Indian Affairs duly advised of all I am doeing as the removal contractor.
