Sir, I have the honor to enclose herewith a letter of addressed to me by Robt. Peebles Esq. giving notice that he has sold the interest he held in the Contract for the removal and subsistence of the Miamis.
Mr. Coquillard the active partner of them now interested in the Contract is busily engaged in making preparations for the emigration he designs keeping the Indians together when they are assembled for the purpose of having an examination of their debts and as soon as possible put them under motion. If he succeeds the emigration will be effected early in the season.
Col Wm Medill Com of Indian Affairs Washington D.C.
Very Respectfully Your Obdt Servant Jos. Sinclear Sub Agent
