Dr Sir,
[ineligible] they will each [ineligible]

West [ineligible] by the 25th [ineligible] by the 30th
+
We have the pleasure of shipping yesterday on
 +
Board the <u>Colorado</u> Steamship, the Miami Emigration
 +
and [hope?] they will reach St. Louis by the 17th inst -
 +
West Port by the 25th + their new homes by the 30th inst,
 +

 +
The sick had mostly improved in health, and
 +
they were all finely accommodated on Board the
 +
steamer, an excellent boat: and Mr Alexis Coquillard the acting contractor, will make [illeg] arangements for them in St Louis for ascending the Missouri River.
 +

 +
I have a <u>dominant</u> Interest with Messrs A. Coquillard
 +
and Saml <u>Edsall</u>, Brother in Law of J. Sinclear Esqr,
 +
the <u>Superintendent</u> in the Removing Contract, +
 +
have Inclined money liabilities to the amount of $25,000
 +
for its Execution, but I was not to render any <u>Personal</u>
 +
Services, being otherwise Extensively Engaged in
 +
Business -- yet I went to Peru about the 1st inst.
 +
and assisted Major Jouett + Mr Coquilard in assembling the Indians and conducting them to this place,
 +
and the (Mr. Co.) leaves here with ample funds to Execute the Contract.
 +

 +
I have had some trouble, peculiar to these transactions, 1st - a <u>demand</u> of a Bonus or [illegible]s of some <u>$5000;</u>in one instance; and 2d in another, of the <u>surrender</u>
 +
of this 1/3d interest in this Removal contract (supposed to be worth some 2 or $3000) or else <u>my interest</u>
