Cincinnati Oct 13 1846 [illegible] We have the pleasure of shipping you yesterday on Board the Colorado Steamship, the Miami Emigration and they will reach St. Louis by the 17^th inst - West Port by the 25^th + their new homes by the 30^th inst,

The sick had mostly improved in health, and they were all finely accommodated on Board the steamer, an excellent boat: and Mr Alexis Coquill ard the acting contractor, will make wife arange - meals for them in St Louis for ascending the Misouri River

Have a dominant Interest with Messrs A. Coquillard and Sam Edsall, Brother in Law of I. Sinclear Esqr, the Superintendent in the Removing Contract, + have Inclined money liabilities to the amount of $25,000 for its Execution, but I[illegible] not to under any Personal Services, being otherwise Exclusively Engaged in Business - yet I went to Peru about the 1^st inst. and assisted Major Jouett + Mr Coquilard in assem- bling Indians and conducting them to this place, and the (Mr. C.) leaves here with ample funds to Execute the Contract -

Have had some trouble, peculiar to these transactions, 1^st - a demand of a Bonus [illegible]s of some $5000; in one instance; and 2[illegible] in another, of the surrender of this 1/3" interest in this Removal contract ([illegible] [illegible] with some 2 or $3000) or else my interest
