Sir: your favor hasn't reached February 20, reached Theo' post office in due course of mail, when I was absent: and I toke the earliest occasion to acknowledge to be receipt, after carefully noting its contents.
The appointment of Col Sinclair, as Emigration Agent of the Miamies, will, I have no doubt have [illegible] acceptable to those interested. It is certainly so to me. An earlier movement would not be present owing to the variable character of over early spring months.
