Joseph Sinclear, Subagent of the Miami Tribe of Indians.

Sir,

As you will go in a short time to Washington City and see our Great Father, you would confer on me a great favor, if you would earnestly request the President of the United States to permit that my relations and connections should be allowed to stay with me and not to go to the country set apart for our tribe West of the Mississippi. And also you would do well to request of our Great Father to authorize you to purchase on the part of the Government the reserves belonging to individuals of our tribe if they wish to dispose of them.

In doing so you will favor your Obedient sert
