As it regards his request that his relatives may be permitted to remain with him in the country they now occupy, and draw their annuities there, I will remark that Lafountain married the favourite Daughter of the late Chief Richardville, whose family are permitted to remain. Lafountain has relatives and connexions to the number of thirty four and he is exceedingly anxious that they may be permitted to remain with him, as is the custom amongst the Indians they consider themselves as one family, reckoning with much pride upon their relationships or connexions with the Chief of the tribe.
