that it will be my highest ambition to discharge my duty with the utmost humanity and to provide all things necessary for the comfort of these people, on the journey, and during my connection with them.
Mr. Hamilton will doubtless communicate with the commissioner of the Indian Affairs, so soon as the payment is concluded which was in a state of progress when I left the Indian country on the 12th of October.
