For: Mr. Medell from office of Indian Affairs Washington, D.C Fort Wayne 12th May, 1847 Sir I beg leave to state to you that W.A. Coquilard (acting under Mr. Dowling's Miami removing contract) has removed from the West, and desires to commence engaging teams and man to take by land way of the Miamis yet in Indiana who Can be inclined to go.
W. Coquilard will forward every thing to make [illegible] [illegible] fortible on the route, and we hope that we may be in regard? in my little experiences? as -able of officers where [b?] little is left to be finished Messr Caquilard (Mr. C[illegible] who speaks the Pollaewat -amie language and as a [illegible] x skillful Nurse) will go [Illegible], and will have medicines to give the little party [illegible] [alteration?] [illegible]; and as the route will be through se? C..tey (through [Illinois?] to [illegible]) with this, and medical [illegible] on the [illegible], they will receive all the attention their hearts will require.
